Burn Permits

If you plan to burn yard trash, you must call and obtain a burn permit number.

If you are within the town limits of Elloree, you must contact Town Hall at (803) 897-2821 during regular business hours. We will issue you a burn number that is good for one day only, so if you will be burning for multiple days, please obtain the appropriate burn permit numbers.

If you are an Orangeburg County resident, you may obtain a burn permit number by calling (800) 517-9636.

If you are a Calhoun County resident, you may obtain a burn permit number by calling (800) 895-7064.

Fire Prevention

Fire Chief Craig Hill often speaks publicly for fire prevention classes and programs. If you would like to request that Chief Hill speak for your group, or if you would like to obtain additional information about fire prevention, please call the Elloree Fire Station at (803) 897-2222.

The residents of Elloree are served by the Elloree Volunteer Fire Department. Members of the fire department answer service calls for Elloree and the surrounding communities. You may also see our Fire Chief speaking for fire safety classes or showing off the fire truck for children at town events. The members of our Fire Department show how volunteers can make a difference within a community.

The Elloree Fire Board meets on the fourth Monday of each month at 7:00pm in the meeting room at the Elloree Fire Station.

Members of the Elloree Volunteer Fire Department meet on the fourth Monday of each month at 7:30pm in the meeting room at the Elloree Fire Station.
